Playground Playfulness

I love to go to the park with Mommy and Daddy! We try to go often throughout the summer and since it has been sunny out lately we have been frequenting the playground on a daily basis.
I especially love to swing and slide. My personal record for the "longest continuous period of time spent swinging" at the park is just under two hours. Yep - I am one serious swinger!

However on this particular day I was really working hard on improving my sliding skills. Daddy and mommy are always catching me at the bottom of the slide so I decided to return the favor (see below).

Now I cannot lie - this was one scary endeavor. My fear was largely due to the fact that 16o pounds of pure muscle (mama told me to say that) was torpedoing toward me. It took a lot of courage to catch my dad instead of retreat. Thank goodness daddy listened when mama said "put on the breaks".
Mama and I like to slide down together at times but sometimes I like to go by myself and I have even learned to go down head-first. I will give you one guess to figure out who taught me this fabulous trick; let's just say it wasn't my mother. However, as you can tell I REALLY LOVE IT...

... so Mama plays along and catches me at the bottom.

Playing at the park is better than (hmmm - let's see) ice cream. Although it would be great if Uncle Nathan would come and visit us again because then I would get to play at the park and go for ice cream right after! Miss you Uncle Nathan and Auntie Leith.
