Avrey's Trip to Canada June '08

On June 6, Mommy and I flew to Canada to visit my Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins who make up the Matthews Family. I had so much fun on the plane; I got to sit in my very own seat.
I also made friends with the flight attendant. She was from Wasilla, Alaska.

When we got to the Seattle airport, en route to Edmonton, Mommy found a really cool place for us to hang out - heaven on earth (a.k.a playland).

While I was at playland I made friends with a ladybug - she was really nice because she let me ride on her back.

When I arrived in Edmonton I was so excited! The entire Matthews clan was waiting at the airport to greet me.

Once I had a good sleep and I was feeling refreshed...

Grandma Idella (I was named after her) gave me my first haircut!

Mommy put my hair up in piggy tails for the very first time too! Aren't I cute?

Grandpa gave me as many 'horsie' rides as I wanted!

I also played with my cousins a lot...
In the picture above, we were running through the fountain at the By-The-Lake Park.

Keeleigh introduced me to watermelon, what a delicious treat, especially when it is so hot outside!

My cousin Jena was so much fun to be around. She was really good at making me laugh and she pushed me on the swing over and over.

My cousin Maggie read interesting books to me and brought me cool toys to play with. She also liked helping Mommy take care of me.

I got to do so many cool things when I was in Canada.

I went on a lot of walks.

I cut the grass, like every day - it was extremely fast growing grass.

I splashed around in my very own pool - Mommy made sure the water was nice and warm and it felt so good on the sunny days.

I pretty much lived in this swing. I would giggle wildly when my cousin Jena would push me, pretend like I was kicking her, and fall over backwards.

Grandma took me to a petting zoo in West Edmonton Mall.

We also went to the West Edmonton Mall's waterpark! Wowy Zowy - that was awesome!

I wore my bathing suit that Great Aunt Ann Campbell gave me. Yes - those are ruffles on my bum!

The waterslides were 'a blast' - or should I say a 'splash'!!!
